چکیده

A promising extraction method for obtaining fat from Pycnanthus angolensis seeds through Aspergillus niger strain BC23 enzyme pretreatment and particle size reduction is presented in this work. The employed A. was produced corn bagasse waste material, which served as the only source of carbon. P. were dried, pulverized subsequently sieved into two different sizes 1.0 mm 1.4 mm. This followed by prior to extraction. Results demonstrated that while peak activity (121.036 U/mL) occurred on day 4 fermentation, maximum cellulase could be achieved at 60% saturation ammonium sulfate purification. Compared with results water-treated untreated seed samples, yield, free fatty acid iodine values enzyme-treated samples considerably higher (P < 0.05). As peroxide value less enzyme-assisted extracted fat, pointed a good-quality oil, decreased refractive index suggested unsaturation. Despite considerable differences 0.05) indices, fat’s specific gravity matched > when enzyme-treated, compared. On whole, pretreated improve both quality yield implied it useful inventory confectionary well cosmetic industries.

Purification and properties of a cellulase from Aspergillus niger.

A cellulolytic enzyme was isolated from a commercial cellulase preparation form Aspergillus niger. A yield of about 50mg of enzyme was obtained per 100g of commerial cellulase. The isolated enzyme was homogeneous in the ultracentrifuge at pH 4.0 and 8.0, and in sodium dodecyl sulphate/polyacrylamide-gel electrophoresis but showed one major and two minor bands in disc gel electrophoresis. No car...

Cellulase production from spent lignocellulose hydrolysates by recombinant Aspergillus niger.

A recombinant Aspergillus niger strain expressing the Hypocrea jecorina endoglucanase Cel7B was grown on spent hydrolysates (stillage) from sugarcane bagasse and spruce wood. The spent hydrolysates served as excellent growth media for the Cel7B-producing strain, A. niger D15[egI], which displayed higher endoglucanase activities in the spent hydrolysates than in standard medium with a comparable...

Chemical Modification of a Cellulase from Aspergillus niger By PAUL

N-Bromosuccinimide completely inactivated the cellulase, and titration experiments showed that oxidation of one tryptophan residue per cellulase molecule coincided with 100% inactivation. CM-cellulose protected the enzyme from inactivation by N-bromosuccinimide. The cellulase was inhibited by active benzyl halides, and reaction with 2-hydroxy-5-nitrobenzyl bromide resulted in the incorporation ...

Production and Evaluation of Chitosan from Aspergillus Niger MTCC Strains

Three different Aspergillus Niger MTCC strains (872, 1785 and 2208) were used for the production of chitosan. Multivariate growth mediums in varying incubation periods were analyzed for the production. The produced chitosan was characterized by its physical appearance, moisture content (by means of gravimetric method), percentage of ash and solubility (through the Association of Official Agricu...
